About Me

My Journey

Art has been my passion since my youth. Growing up as an only child in a quiet rural town, I certainly had a lot of time on my hands. Alongside watching Spongebob and eating Fritos and Beandip, I would gather my art supplies and draw for hours. From doodles of flowers and stick figures to following my first Bob Ross tutorial, I had found something that I was obsessed over. My mom, Crystal, who has always been my biggest supporter, helped spread the word about my art and how I wanted to take it to the next level. At the age of 13, I had started doing commissions for family members and close friends. From there, I utilized social media to start contributing to community service projects in town. Eagle Nest Rock and the American Legion Post 111's booth sign in Woodstock, CT are examples. I am eternally grateful for the endless support I have gotten throughout my journey so far, and I am currently looking to give back to my community through my art in any way I can!

Where Am I Now?

I am currently a senior undergraduate student at the University of Hartford, working towards my BFA in Illustration while minoring in Painting. These past three years, I have learned not only countless new techniques and skills to utilize, but I've learned a lot about myself as well. I have recently discovered an interest in the mindscape in its relation to cosmic imagery. Experimenting with texture through surface prep, additives, the ultraviolet spectrum, and composition, I have been working to share with my audience my perception of the mind and the universe, and how it makes me feel in terms of existentialism.

My Future Goals

As of now, I am working to continue to produce portfolios geared towards a variety of markets, while also exploring what I want to create. Being exposed to the professional practices of both Illustration and Painting discipllines at Hartford Art School has helped prepare me for adaptation and flexibility within my future career.

Community Projects

Something that drives me as an artist are the opportunities that allow me to give back to my community. Art is something that I can harness to make others smile and bring positivity to their day. Having this ability gives me courage to make larger and more impactful artworks, and I am so grateful for the support I have been given along my artistic journey.
